In 2017 Thomas became BAFTA Crew member and in 2018 he has won a prestigious 65th MPSE Golden Reel Verna Fields award for his work on the short-form animation Homegrown, directed and animated by Quentin Haberham, an official selection at over 50 film festivals worldwide.
Thomas’ background has provided him with a unique set of skills. As a child he attended a music school and trained as classical pianist, and as a teenager he played guitar in a rock band. Later, inspired by a digital recording/producing processes he transitioned into electronic music producer under pseudonym Tom Noise, under which he released two albums.
After winning iZotope international sound design competition in 2012 Thomas realised he was heading the right way and as his thirst for knowledge and experimentation grew he soon discovered his true calling in film sound where he was able to adopt his skills and unlock his creative potential as a filmmaker, defining his own voice.
